Taylor
Taylor Swift, the rarest pop phenomenon is a star who was able to transcend between the genres of country and mainstream pop culture and become an icon of the world of pop. She also conquered all over the world during the course of her journey. Swift left country music like it was a second layer of herself, proving that she is perhaps the best pop-singer/songwriter in her generation. A person who has the ability to tap into the zeitgeist to make it personal as well as sing in the other direction. Swift's talents were apparent in some of the first songs she released, most notably the Neodue Tim McGraw. But on the second album Fearless which came out in 2008, Swift could identify the person she was and reach audiences across the globe. Fearless became a worldwide hit, not only in North America (where it earned with six platinum awards for Top Ten Hits Love Story and "You Belong with Me") as well as in Canada Australia and the U.K. and other countries. Swift was able to consolidate her success by releasing Speak Now almost two year following. In the three albums following (Reputation 2017, 1989 2014, and Red 2012) Red 2012 1989, Red 2012 along with Reputation 2017 -- her success only grew. That was an obvious indication that she was in a new pop world that she could be part of. When she reduced her sound to the stripped-down versions of 2020, folklore, and Evermore however, she remained in the top spot. The position was defended through re-recordings of her previous catalogue as in Midnights which was her chart-topping synth heavy 2022 album.
