Anna Paquin is a Canadian as well as a New Zealand actress. Paquin is a native of New Zealand, born in Wellington but was born and raised in Winnipeg made her acting d but with The Piano. At age 11 years old, she became the youngest Academy Award winner ever for Best Actress. Anna Paquin full name Anna Helene Paquin born July 24 in 1982 Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. Canadian-born New Zealand actor who won the Academy Award as a youngster as Best Supporting Actress portraying the bright and curious child of Holly Hunter's leading character on the film The Piano. After an audition, Flora McGrath was cast as the daughter a Scottish pianist. Flora McGrath is the daughter of the mute Scottish musician, who emigrated to New Zealand to marry in the 19th century. In her teens, Paquin made the move to America. Paquin was Jane Eyre's protagonist as a teenager in Franco Zeffirelli's Jane Eyre (2000) and the main role in Fly Away Home (2000). Paquin was the character Frankie Addams as a child in the TV version of Carson McCullers novel The Member of the Wedding. Paquin was also in the role of the queen of Spain, in Steven Spielbergs 1997 film Amistad. The role she played was for teenagers in Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000). She also played the role of a teen girl named Polexia Aphrodisa in Almost Famous (2000).
